We went to Dr Istky yesterday. We are trying positive renforcmement for good behavior. I slouldn't expect overnight succees.
We had a pretty good christmas. I bought a tivo. I received a air compresser/nail gun combo. It's a bostich. Lance got a toy truck, power rangers and sume other toys. Alyssa got a barbie bust so you can work on it's hair.

Flash forms

Last night I gave a presentation of flash forms. I based it off the code from an earlier post. In this form I have a drop down binded to another drop down. When you select a department you only get titles for that department. That way you can't be in hr and have a title of ware house lead. you can get the files here.

This is a nice program for laying out early drafts or redesigns of websites. http://dub.washington.edu/denim/ it may not be the prettiest UI but it works well. they have several videos you can watch to get an idea how it works.

asfusion has an article in CFDJ about "Constructing an Application with Flash Forms from the Ground Up" I was interesting in doing that. When I went to their site to get the source code I saw the article on "Filtering a cfgrid as you type." I thought about joining the two together. I did some hacking and bam, here it is. here's my code. I did not include the 'add', 'edit' or 'delete' features yet.

This april I am going to give a presentation at the dfwcfug on css. I chose to use Ben Forta's blog page as my example. I'm not picking on him, it's just a web page we all know about. It's not an exact duplicate but pretty close. I had to do some hacks to recreate what he has. I don't like the way it displays in a pocket pc either but it's better that what it is. The load time is faster too.
